"I Love You," A Thousand Times Never Meant

A thousand times said, but a thousand times never meant,

"I love you."

Three words and eight letters total, the hardest words anyone can ever say.

Do you not notice how easily it comes to me to speak them?

It took you so long, to finally tell me.

But I replied without any hestation.

I said it with some much affection and admiration, but you should know by now that I am very excellent in the art of deception.

"I love you,"

A thousand time said, but a thousand times never meant.

You've always believed me.

But have you never noticed how it came so easily?

You speak it so nervously, yet I speak it so calmly.

I'm sure you love me, but I know I do not love you.

You must not know that actions speak louder than words.

When you love someone, doesn't it take a while to express those feelings?

Like you're afraid they will think it's all a lie?

Don't you see how I'vve never had a second though to saying those words?

It's been a thousand times said, but a thousand times never meant,

"I love you."

It was never true when I said it to you.
