Death

As you knock at my door.
I do not run an' cowar in your presence.
Your embrace is one I've longed for.
Your love is true, and divine.
You don't care who I am,
How I've lived,
Or Where I come from.
But yet you still come for me.

I admire your passion.
The way you hold yourself.
No care in the world.
Walking among the living,
Watching everyone as they move.
People never see you
But I've seen you my whole life.

I've longed for this day.
I've pleaded for your arrival.
And as you knock on my door.
I open it gratiously.
But you refuse to take me.
Helping me see the light,
Making me realize,
I still have a life to live.
