Unwanted.

The misty sky aglow,
What lay below?

Deep in the brush,
What had given the doer a rush,

But another, icy fear,
As felt by a deer,
Caught in the headlights.

A once beautiful being,
Now no longer seeing,

No longer in contact with Earth,
Hers had been an unwanted birth.

Now she lay here,
Mutilated,
The cause of her life: beer.

Not even fully-grown,
She would never be known.

Not once did they stop to think,
They knew she was only here due to the drink.

The one that made people different,
Incoherent.

A once beautiful life,
Gone.
Unwanted.
