Dandelion

Like a dandelion I want to blow away
Make a wish on me and let me scatter
You can bend in the wind,
But it won't make you shatter

Seeds on the end
Of life's least purposeful plants
Live a lie of thinking they were meant to dance
But soon they lay covered, in a coffin of dirt
Mother Nature doesn't care whose feelings get hurt

As a dandelion, I would aspire to be
Gentle like a tickle stuck in your throat
And fierce like a teenage suicide death note
Written before the lion bit down
On the hand that feeds it
A temperamental sound

And maybe as a dandelion
I can make that wish come true
Miracles don't like to happen,
But if forced sometimes they do.
