Dark December

Bland is the emptiness
Left, her anger cried,
"My scars still show!"
From his mouth, came the lies.
Bitter bullshit, she believes
So she tries to forget
The soft smell, his bright eyes
Though he hasn't missed her yet.
She counts the days, gruesome days
Tries to see and untangle how,
He stood her world, her solid stone
How he just so blatenly threw her out.
She's apologized for all his faults
He blames her for all his fears
He claims she's overbearing
Though she trusted, and will for years.
You'll find, a dark December
will tear a broken soul.
"Here lies a girl who loved and lost,
And died from a heart so cold."
