Indecisive

My situation is classic
And I've seen it happen many times,
But now that I find myself at the crossroad
I don't know which direction to take.
The words I wish to say
Rest at the tip of my tongue.
If I call upon them,
They will charge forward.
But my mind tells me to wait
And to look for a sign.
Do I fear rejection so much?
Should I stay comfortable at her side
As a friend only,
