Hunter

Every afternoon, bright and clear, I deliberately prepare my gear
Sublime combo books give me keys
As to which charms will provide me arms
Provide me arms against the many enemies
And I shall need these arms to defeat my enemies
Ratchet, terrible, and powerful enemies

To avoid attacks we are cast asunder, but at time this is a great blunder
Especially when you land in front of a monster's attack
Oh fainting during this mission would leave me melancholy
Luckily for me, I rest at the monster's back
A tail swing will catch a man at a monster's back
But at the moment I am immune to attack.

Now rudiment monsters are very easy. Their strength is akin to that of babies.
But I find myself in need of sanction
Whether human or cat, give our foe a good smack
Because forcing large monsters into resignation
Is difficult when their anger is a tangible radiation
of this, there is no question.

Now prevalent attacks are the most malevolent
Multiple monsters bring about the same discord
Be consumed by the ever present doom
For when surrounded by a myriad of blows, I hope and pray to the Lord
There is nothing to do, but pray to the Lord
Only this and nothing more.

My teacher had us write a poem based off the rhyme scheme of "The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe, and a subject of our own choice. This is the result.
