Luminosity
That tickle,
tickle trees, that drips
through barriers to
gardens underseas
that breathe
Breathe,
believe me on some
higher level luminosity
dry leaves heave from
gray, brown, white knees
on limbs not trunks
above ground level
but then some cleave,
the promise of new life
in forever green foliage
intermittent yellow shades
Power lines, they criss-cross the heavens
criss-crossed minds wrapped up
in tangles of electricity and
numerical figures, back and forth
grapple in concrete with technology
Chop-chop falls the tree
into a pole made
for companies that enslave
Earth and Her precious treasures
for greed and pleasure
When the simplest pleasure derived
is from the solid earth and
ever-changing kaleidoscope sky
Forfeit clean air
rot in hungry chairs
that swallow up and
swallow whole
Divinity's heir
Cotton balls, tufts of dream
purple, red, orange,
pink and yummy creme
Blue and pale gold mingle
undeterred by silent
spectators like these
like we, the people
who squeeze our eyes
and hold them shut so we
can see through
Thick layers of plastic and rubber
and beneath, a world lay
pushing back, aching to
thrive and push aside
those chemical blankets
and perpetuated lies
Consciousness ascends
elevated poetry
and now only light
is what we see and seem
tickle trees, that drips
through barriers to
gardens underseas
that breathe
