Absinthe & Honey.

They are like opposites, that attract in a certain way...
Both are inviting, but far away from the same.
Absinthe is the deepest emerald, with a bitter tint of wormwood,
While honey is a dark golden, sweet and remniscient of childhood.
Derived from nature, stripped in raw satisfactory...
To be artificially bottled in international factories.
Each are of unique taste, that might spark addiction...
But the addiction of both, is much, much different.
Honey is innocent, sticky and savor,
Produced by black stings, that seem harmless in favor.
One taste takes no preservance, as it is delicious to try again,
After the next spoonful, there could be no better friend.
But absinthe, oh absinthe, is one that was made to deceive...
It leads you in with alcohol, and renders conscience bereaved.
Who knew insanity could lead to such a waste...
All in a simple drop of quintessential taste?
Both sweet, both aromal, one might think of it funny...
There is a much deeper comparison between absinthe and honey...
