Life, Bitter Sweet.

It's so bitter sweet.
Life,
That is.

There's a moment,
I think I'm living the good life.
I have everything I want.
But then,
Reality hits,
Like bricks that hit a fan.
They don't mesh,
And it hurts.

It crunches around,
The sickening sound of,
Metal scraping together,
The smell of smoke.

There's that time and that place,
Where we wish we never would've been.
That time in our lives,
That just hurt us.
They don't help us be better people,
We don't learn a life lesson from them,
No,
We get no reward or advantage for it.
We are just simply hurt.

Life,
It's so bitter sweet.
We take it for granted,
Thinking we are invincible,
So strong,
We are super humans,
But,
Reality hits us,
Takes us by the throat,
Threatening to take the life we so preciously gave away,
Without batting an eyelash,
Before we know it,
Reality has sunk in,
With a bearing force,
Leaving us in an area,
We don't know.
An area we are unfamiliar with.

We do everything,
To stop this,
To get rid of it.
We act like nothing is going on,
We live a facade,
Some play it better than others,
Some let this bearing force,
Take their life,
They'll live it,
Asking for the pity of others,
Wanting the new found attention.

Then there's the mysterious ones,
Where you don't know,
If they are in pain,
Or if they really have the good life.
You don't know if they want to talk,
Or if they're just super friendly.
We don't know why they're friendly,
We don't know why,
They try and be nice to everyone,
We just don't.

That curious little disease,
Wants to know.
It wants to take us,
To a world,
That someone else is living,
And once we are in the dimension,
It terrifies us,
Because usually it's dark and cold.
Filled with screaming and fighting,
Lonely nights,
Bruises and self-harm,
It's filled to the brim with every negative emotion,
You wish you never stepped foot in it.

Now,
You're in it,
You're living a life,
With a person,
You didn't know,
But the curious disease,
Is it blame.
It's natural.
We all have that in our system.

Curiosity,
It's a funny thing.
Life,
That is.
