Secrets

Can you keep a secret?
A big one,
No one should know
This horrible secret

I never meant to get it
But now I keep it,
Safely within my mind
Be silent to hear it

It torments the mind,
corrupts the inoccent
A destroyer none can cure,
A deadly secret indeed

I trust in you,
To keep this secret
Hidden safely away,
From those easily corrupted

I'll tell you the secret
But you have to keep it
And give me your word,
That you won't tell a soul

I must make a confession,
The secret is one actually
That is very well known,
It's quite funny really

The secret, you ask
Well, it's life is cruel
You may be kind to it,
But it's a picky little thing

It does not matter to it
If you're kind or cruel,
It might always be cruel
To everyone it deems fit

Which is hilarious to me,
For life it always a ferris wheel,
It's up and down,
Always going in a circle
