The Day When the Underworld Came Over

Hades sits upon his flaming throne...
Feeding his hell-hounds a fresh, harvested soul.
Spirits tend to pass through quite frequently now...
From pedophiles to murderers, all descending through the hole.

The usual domain; the same blue aura pools.
Nothing ever changes but the way they glow...
Even Persephone sometimes departs for too long...
Dispersing colour to the Earth, in the seasons she goes.

It should be a deferment, to suffer from uninterest...
Especially for the king of suffering himself.
So out goes a call, to the sibling Poseidon...
Presenting the wants, in hope that he will help.

Of course, goody-two-shoes refuses the offer,
Raising his booming voice, and stirring up a monsoon.
He figures he will have to just take it by force...
Lucifer can share, "that greedy buffoon."

Cerberus joins at the side of his thighs.
With all her three heads barking simultaneous in mirth.
They can't wait to travel to the overworld either...
To get a first bite in the tasty morsels of Earth.

Hades conjures up his most well known minions,
As he is very unsure of the mortals' potentials.
He has heard stories of a demigod, that hides in their midst...
By the name of Hercules, due to hero credentials.

But it should not matter, let him stay out of the way...
This is a matter of the Gods, and only they can interfere...
Up through the veil, he rises forcefully away...
With an army of bondaged shadows that arrive nearly near.
