Barriers

You and I, we come from different worlds
Different surroundings, different opportunities
But we share the same blood, same skin
Liquid red, brown thick
Tough on the outside, full of passion in.

We share the same language and culture
But are so distant when in comes our beliefs

These barriers between us won't crumble, I break down instead
Heart breaks into pieces when you say you're disappointed
Sticks and stones may break my bones
But nothing hurts more than what I know
What I'm reminded of and what I can't ignore.
