Curiosity weighs me down as I begin to sink
Endless storms battle to keep me
I try to settle but my mind has its way
Thought is not my friend tonight
Leave me be just for a moment
This can wait till the sunrise

My blankets snap at my heels as the clock stutters towards the next hour

My covers choke me into a trance like state
Prying my eyes open once again
