Confusion

I wandered through the woods
And met a wild animal.
I do not recall what.
And in the palm of its paw
Lay a stone
Round and smooth
Like glass.
I saw my reflection
But i don't remember what i saw.
The animal walked away,
And I followed
Letting it take me anywhere.
It led me to a pond
And i saw my reflection
Don't ask me what i saw:
I saw the animal:
Wild, untamed
Me.
