My Best Friend:

Okay, so my best friend is kind,
she is nearly always right,
she always states what is on her mind,
and that's what I really like,

She is honest,
She can write really well but she's so modest,
She might be classed as one of the oddest,
I think she is also one of the wisest,

I think that she is very beautiful,
And my inspiration for writing is her because she's so wonderful,
Every word she writes is so meaningful,
And every word she speaks is truthful,

Now my best friend isn't perfect but I bet she's close,
Because she is so wonderful and she doesn't even know,
How lucky I am to have a best friend like that,
It makes me wonder who I'd be if I never had,

She corrects me when I make mistakes,
Or when I sound stupid or I just sound fake,
Even when we argue like mad I know deep down she cares,
And no matter what happens I know she'll be there,

Now my best friend isn't the usual,
But I find she is the most wonderful,
She's caring and understands who I am,
And when I have doubts she convinces me that I can,

That I can do anything if I put my mind to it,
And even if I mess it up nobody's perfect,
I know if everything's a mess she will help me clear it up,
And when I'm scared I'm sure she'll bring good luck,

And when my confidence is low and I get knocked down,
She's always there when I hit the ground,
She helps me understand that I ain't alone,
She helps me realise that I ain't the only one,

After all of this all I can say,
Is that she is the best friend I'll ever have in every way,
She's kind and honest and can even be fun,
And I know when things seem to hard she won't let me run,

This friend will help me fix my mistakes,
And the ones I can't fix she'll help them fade,
All I can say is that I owe her for everyday,
Sticking by me even when I make mistakes,

And I've said things to this friend that I truly regret,
But with her help I can move on and forget,
She will always be here for me and I for her,
When things get too hard I'll try and be there,

So my best friend is in fact my mother,
But she is a friend like no other,
She cares about me like no one else,
And in the past she picked me up every time I fell,

So I owe everything to this one special friend,
Because I know when I need someone to help me mend,
Whatever may go wrong in the years ahead,
I know I can always count on this friend,
