Compromise

I've never been one full of grace and mystery,
To most, it's quite obvious, I wear my heart on my sleeve.
I can conceal my feelings, though it may be hard.
Even if it's killing me, ripping me apart.
If you get to know me now, you may find I'm a little odd.
Often, I must be close to you,
Sometimes, it's the lack of it all.
If you really love me, you'll find the key to my heart.
It's hidden deep down somewhere,
It'll pierce you like a dart.
If I can accept your baggage, and you can accept mine,
It will be the kind of love some wait their whole lives to find.
