The Wedding

The Rose is dead,
The Violet is too.
The church is gone,
And so are the pews.

The priest is lost,
What should he do?
Who is the unlucky bride
To marry this groom?

The bells have rang,
Whispers sound through,
The wedding must go on,
But with a different set of two.

The groom is joyous,
The bride is too,
But only the priest knows
The ungodly truth.

Cheers throughout
At the sound of "I do."
The priest bows his head
And says, "good luck to you."

Only he knows
And also the groom
There will soon be another wedding
When the bride falls to.
