[Coldness and numbness]

Coldness and numbness
It chills me to the bone
Distress and tiredness
And yet I'm still alone.

No matter what I say
Or whatever I may do
I dread living another day
I know exactly why, too.

People say mean things,
Things that obviously offend
The insult surely stings
But I'm fine, I'll just pretend.
