Niin Sanottu

There hasn't been colour in my face for a while
but I suppose it's just a little sun.
Morphine is an excellent drug.
It breaks the pain down like
dogs break glasses of tainted wine

but everything seems to change
when the pain stops going away
I find myself hiding under the cupboards
where the little kids used to play
come see my personal circus if you may

the parking is on the left

my tendons bust and break
like they're trying to hide
from the authority that is my poor mind
I don't have a fractured head
not even a fractured heart
just a fractured conscience

I have a room
where I sleep and I dream
in the same bed as a raging monster
screaming in my ears
as I try to hide my fears
I'm not afraid of dying young
just of dying in deep pain
