You use others like you own the world

You use others like you own the world
Standing high in your palace made of gold
Not bothering to look down
The destruction surrounding you
Is a bother to your sight
You would rather forget
Then make amends
Pretending, pretending
Like you have something to give
You blame me for nothing
If only I wouldn't care
You rebel against friends
Like they are your enemy
We care, I care
If only you'd see that
Then maybe you'd listen
To what I have to say
Instead of playing in your own world
I'm not your enemy
I was your best friend
But you've left me in the dust
To live in your own world
Now I'm left to decide if it's even worth trying
To fight or to flee from this misery that you've left with me.
