Deep Brown

You were my soul, a piece
like myself strong and whole.
We were inseparable, always
together, no weather could break us apart.
Until that fateful day, when they
tore us apart and took you away.
My heart was crushed, watching
you swallowed up by rushed society.
The crunching and munching from their
soiled lips disgust me, as they do
number crunching. We chocolate bars
have no chance, unless we are in the hands
of superstars.
