My Bootcamp

I'm not a Marine
I didn't go through thirteen weeks of hell
But I stand by a man
Who never fell
Too far out of line
And now he bears the name Marine
Compassionate and loving
A Protector, made strong and lean
I'll never fight a war
Even if he will
My war will be at home
Away from my husband still
I'll be waiting
My own time in Hell
Married to a Marine
Is like being in boot camp as well
My Boot Camp is different
I don't shoot a gun
I write letters and wait
Sit home alone
But I'll do it every day
For my marine, Just mine
Always faithful
Or Semper Fi
