free write of subconscious thought

It's a forgiveness without delay,
that could save me.
Save you.
--a spider's web unbroken,
from your pain,
that could take you.
take me.
It's something too much unpaid for,
that grabs your child's hand.

It's a reckless, cold duvet,
embodies us
embodies you.
'Emulsify me, please!'
You shout in broken night
'Emulsify him, please.'
I'll shout in broad daylight

It's a nothingness that permeates
through sunken souls and skin,
that feeds on those cast down
from hate,
that goodness never wins,
and doubt that castigates,
a fighting kid; pureness, hidden.

Day 1 of looking for some inner sense.
Inspired by 'Sunbathing in the Rain': A Cheerful Book on Depression, written by Gwyneth Lewis.

This piece is some pure example of my subconscious working my physical into expression; my dad was abused growing up, he continued the cycle, and now I see us as both broken & confused, looking for some inner light. He's currently in prison, diagnosed with mental illnesses, and a recent devout Christian. I'm in my head- in and out of depression, trying to fall out of a trap.
