A House in the Moutains

I've made the decision

That one day I will be in a better place

I will wake up with hope

And a smile on my face

I will move out to the mainlands

And live somewhere in the wood

Or maybe up in the mountains

I would do that if I could

And I’d buy a little house

Overlooking a town below

And I’d go down there every Sunday

And say hello to the people I know

I would meet a nice lad

And we’d really fall in love

And I’d invite him up to my house

Sitting right above

And we’d listen to the mountains

And gaze at the stars

We’d talk about the future

His

Mine

And ours

And wolves would howl

From a distant off land

And we’d kiss to the sounds

And he’d hold my hand

The world would be at peace

And I’d fall asleep in my little home

With my boy right next to me

Happier than I’ve ever know

And we’d go on like that

For the years to come

And then a day would arise

When they’d bang the drum

And I’ll walk down the isle

In a dress of sparkling white

And my boy and I will marry

On a silent mountain night

And it will be small

But the best day of my life

That one and only day

I’ll become somebody’s wife

And we’ll live together in the house

Up on the mountain top

And we’ll do everything today

Like eat and sleep and shop

But then months will pass

And my belly will grow big

And we’ll prepare a small room

For our first kid

And the room will be green

And painted with trees

And a crib on the side

That dangles some keys

And the baby will come

When the room is all done

And we’ll welcome into the world

Our very own son

And he’ll grow up with us

In his forest room

And into a sweet little boy

He’ll easily bloom

And we’ll live happily

Up in that little place

And I will wake up everyday

With hope

And a smile on my face

But that’s a long way off

I still live on the coast

But that house and that mountain

Are what I think of most
