acid.
Twirling, swirling, glow-in-the-dark star
I start to wonder where you are
and then I wonder where you’ll go
and if you’ll glow on Mexico
I feel my fingers start to numb
Fingers outstretched, feeling dumb
Enlightened but strung out
on the twirling, swirly, glow-in-the-dark star
Close, but so far.
Acid from my hair to my toes.
In my mind, the feeling goes:
“Trip
and fall into your bed,
lay your head
& do not leave until you feel dead.”
I start to wonder where you are
and then I wonder where you’ll go
and if you’ll glow on Mexico
I feel my fingers start to numb
Fingers outstretched, feeling dumb
Enlightened but strung out
on the twirling, swirly, glow-in-the-dark star
Close, but so far.
Acid from my hair to my toes.
In my mind, the feeling goes:
“Trip
and fall into your bed,
lay your head
& do not leave until you feel dead.”
