Happiness.

And she sits there,
Listening to the world around her.
It envelopes her,
Swallows her,
S l o w l y.
She tries to hold onto something,
A n y t h i n g.
She feels herself slip away,
But then she see's something.
She tries to grab it,
Pushing her way through,
She forgets about
E v e r y t h i n g.
She runs, using all the energy she has left.
She has no idea what it is,
But it's good.
She is positive that it is.
When she captures it,
She lets it rest on her palm.
A huge smile comes across her lips.
She feels no worry, no saddness, no
H o p e l e s s n e s s.
She's found it.
H a p p i n e s s .
Pure Happiness.
