When You're Not Looking
"When you're not looking, someone will find you,"
My Mother said to me one day. I listened with ease as my Mother spoke her words to me.
"Don't go looking for someone, you'll only get hurt that way. Let your guard down a little and turn away. When you stop looking, when you leave your gentle heart at ease, a worthy man will find you, and you may love him if you please. Actually," she paused, "you won't have much of a choice. Your sweet heart will jump right in, because loving him will be like breathing. It will come so easy to you. So don't go looking," she said again, "just turn away and wait; he will find you someday soon, when you're not looking."
