How do I say good-bye after 14 years?

You use to let my tears soak into your slick black fur.

You didn't understand my sadness but, you stayed with me.

The joys we had, running in the backyard.

We were young and free.

Now life is taking its toll, I'm almost grown and on my own.

You will be departing from my life very soon.

I can't let the tears fall, I've lost so many things in life.

Oh please don't go!

I guess this it, my tears start to slip.

I whisper the last words you'll hear,

I watch painfully as your life goes and now it's my turn to wait till my time.

There are no words to describe how my heart is breaking
