I want you to listen
To what i say
I say things
But you don’t listen
Just listen to me
I’ll say it quietly

I may be quiet
but that don’t matter
it matters that you know
how to listen
but you don’t

you learn to listen
with simple things
but do you use them
you push them aside
leave them to rot

when you learn to listen
life will be easy
you won’t judge
you won’t hurt the ones you love

But that is when you learn to listen
