Let's pretend you didn't kiss me.
Let's go back before that time.
Before that smile on your lips
had ever met with mine.

Let's forget about that late night..
that left me feeling high.
When we layed across the rail-road tracks
looking up at the night sky.

Let's pretend that never happened..
We know it won't again.
Let's pretend we never met..
Let this remembering end.

Let's pretend that we are strangers.
Let's pretend we never knew..
You pretend that you don't know me..
and I'll pretend I don't know you.

Let's pretend that I believe that..
when it's clearly just a lie.
Let's pretend that this one isn't for you..
It's just that I want to die.

Let's pretend you didn't know..
That it would end this way..
Let's pretend this isn't how
you prayed I'd end this game.

Let's pretend that this is just another poem..
and not a forcast for the truth..
Let's pretend that this last handfull of pills..
