Angels Among Us

There are Angels among us,
Powerful creatures with heavenly might.
They emerge themselves in our lives,
To watch over us day and night.

They guard our world from evil,
Their abilities and power come from God.
Seeming like humans, but they are immortal.
Through eternal lands they have trod.

Their pale blue eyes and their skin glistens bright.
High up in heaven they reside,
Wrapped in the color of freshly fallen snow,
They spread their ivory wings, stretching them wide.

The demons that try to harm us cause no intimidation.
The Arch Angel swoops down with His golden blade,
To sever the head of our many temptations.
Much easier and safer our lives are made.

The Angels of God see all,
Watching and waiting to catch us when we fall.
