Rituals vs Humanity

Morning arose, and so did I
The day began, letting the darkness die.
Dawn came: the sun's birth
And the stars' death shook the earth.
A new day, a fresh start
The best part of every heart.

Walking out of bed, I do
Carefully observing every hue
Notice people praying hard
With heart and soul, their spirits dart.
Their eyes twitched, their smiles wavered
As the spells were carried forward

Offering the lord prayer and honey
Bribing him for wealth and money;
Not caring for their own home
Sitting all day in God’s dome;
Hands together, feet bare
All the precious time they spare.

Glaring at a stone in earth
Searching it for heavenly hearth;
Within the aura of this deed
The world drowns at thy feet.
People become lifeless dolls
And always suffer a greater loss.

On this bed of devotion lay
Engulfed now in worship's prey
Wrapped tight in rituals’ wing
Aware of not another thing
Fools become all those who
Ignore their own cries too.

Is it fair and right,
To reduce it all to a fight?
Is it acceptable to be
Against the whole of humanity?
Whom will the citizens save-
God, or human race?
