P.R.A.Y
Hello. My name is Patricha Relmen Amelia Yackmen. Yes I like to say my entire name every time I introduce myself. Why (shrugs) I don’t know. I just like the acronym it spells out, Patricha Relmen Amelia Yackmen. (Nodding head) yes, pray is what my name spells. Cool aint it? (Gets distracted) yeah. But it’s not just because I like the acronym, it has deeper meaning. Seriously, it really does. (Listens for a while) An example? Okay. If you think about it.
The P in prayer does not mean to populate or pick your prize and choose your price in the words that you pronounce. Nor does it mean to preoccupy yourself in your pride when you pray. Those specific propositions you make in prayer… no, that’s not what the P stands for. (Freezes) Ponder with me for a moment. In the world people sometimes think of prayer as a priority to propose to God when they need something (flashes hands) Profit! But the P means Praise. Praise is not peculiar but it is precious. You find Peace. It is to have that one place where you fully envelope God. Prayer takes practice, it is a process to show progress in fulfilling God’s will because He promised us prosperity. Praise Him. Praise comes from the spirits within protruding from your mouth. (Begins to sing “Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord”. Praise is pleasing God, with the respect that you put out to Him. It can be your parrot, your papa or your preacher; you praise and give thanks to the Lord our God followed by the name of Jesus Christ.
Okay, I’m done with Patricha (Shakes head) I mean the P. Now R, is kind of tricky. Some people think payer is simply repetition. To recreate lives, to renovate youreself, and to just simply represent. It means to (Picks up Bible) do your research and to revive your broken spirit. Pick up the broken pieces of your life and repent. Rejuvenate your mind from its restlessness. Repent means to reminisce on your recent setbacks so when evil recollects all of these trials, you can reply and say, not today wretch, not today. If you remember Jesus’ resurrection you have a reason to resist temptation because his stripes, he did not forsake us, we are healed. Repent. You cannot forgive unless you have been forgiven by God. It also means to revive goodness and replace evil with respect. When you repent it is also to your brother as to the Lord our God followed by the name of Jesus Christ.
What about the A? Well, prayer is not an accessory. It does not mean to accept the allegations of the world, or to accumulate or allude yourself in the world. A means to ask, but not for things you want to apprehend never ask evil upon others. (Points up), you will anger him and be assessed with brimstone. Don’t pray for applause, or announce every annunciation. Abide in his glory because prayer is an application. Ask for others. It is the aspect of the Lord our God followed by the name of Jesus Christ.
And lastly Y. Yackmen. Y does not mean YOLO, stop the madness. Y’all are crazy. Y means you, yourself and you. Pray for yourself. Who are you and why? You need to understand why you say yes to Yaweh. You are important to the Lord our God followed by the name of Jesus Christ.
