Tick-Tock

Rushing past,
the time in the hourglass,
is running out quickly.
I fear for my life,
as the battle to end this strife,
seems to be closing in on me.
Fighting and fighting,
with tooth nail and claw,
the hardest fight,
that i ever saw.
I'm losing sight,
of what i once held to be clear,
desperately trying to cling,
to something that i can hold dear.
As the lights go dim,
they shine once again,
lighting the path,
and the curtain closes.
Thus as the story began,
in the lights so bright,
they dim fade and then reappear,
as the end draws nearer,
and the destination and answers are made clear.
