Her Name Was...

A girl, so simple and so ordinary
Her parents were loving; such kind and gentle folks
To the naked eye, a happy girl she was

The girls at school, they tormented her for days on end
Harassment in the halls, and chases after school
Not one person, caring to be her friend

Her parents were not really loving; it was all a charade
Senseless beatings often took place, going unnoticed by all
And still not one person, saw through the facade

It was one summer evening; calm and soundless
She took a walk to her basement, and never came back
She was found down there, blood stained and all

Gossip swarms, like angry wasps
About the silent young girl, who seemingly had it all
Her name was...what was her name?

Why did she do it?
Nobody knows
Except for her, when sadness was all she'd ever known

Nobody had noticed her
A walking shadow she was
Silently screaming, wishing somebody would notice

What was her name?
Her name was...
Exactly

This is my first poem, so sorry if it sucks. I wrote this about a girl i knew, who committed suicide.
