Underneath the Trees

Liars cold and disgraceful hiding--
Lurking underneath the trees.
I, myself, biding moments
Before they come to snatch me.
The wind is blowing, softly,
Whispering, measuring time.
I, myself, began running
Farther, and farther from the trees.
Slithering towards the deep end sea.
Friends, my closest enemy
Smiling from underneath the trees.
Wishing, watching waiting,
For the branches reach to for me,
A small girl from down below.
"Stop her, keep her, trap her."
Are the only words they know.
Underneath I, myself, am dying
Their hypnotic spell awaits
I'd rather swallow water--
But the silent trees captivate.
