Facing Fears

I offer my heart if you care enough to take it,
I've been loving and caring for you the best way I see fit.
My simple little gestures may not seem an awful lot,
but based on bad experiences, it's the only thing I've got.
Look at me, already getting tongue-tied.
But I use my butchered words because there's no where left to hide.
I usually end up letting my fear control me,
But I realize if you love someone, you owe it to yourself to see.
You and I could be something beautiful and real.
A love like in a movie, always expressing what we feel.
I know I'm far from perfect, occasionally picking a fight.
But I desperately hope you understand, that every moment with you feels right.
