Good-Bye

You always claimed you loved me.
A love so unique and true.
Picture Perfect memories whenever I'm with you.
The gentle touch of your hand could always set me free.
My heart consumed by this love, as perfect as could be.

Words so softly spoken,
They could make my heart melt.
Constantly increasing everything I felt.
At the time they seemed so beautiful and new.
Unfortunately at the time, I didn't have a clue.

Your act was impressive.
I believed all your lies.
Forgiving the pain you caused with your frequent good-byes.
I let the tears fall until they ran out,
Then excepted your apology despite all my doubt.

Enough is enough,
although I love you a lot.
It's time to forget, or at least it's worth a shot.
I know there are others, who have feelings that are true.
