Dandelions

Holding on to rings of yellow
When the sunlight burns your skin
Taking in a breaking heart
And splitting love out from within

Plucking shades of springtime
From the thawing winter ground
Rushing from the blushing autumn
Through to summer's calming sound

Scratching silken colors
From the threadbare sort of weed
Under so much wonder
Which bursts out in each seed

From bruises on to heartache
I've claimed dandelions for healing
Daring to be caring for
A vague and passing feeling
