How I Lost My Heart

I once met a boy,
Who resembled a vampire,

It wasn't the fact his dark as night hair,
Skin white as snow,
And eyes as beautiful as the morning sun.

Or that, he only came out at night,
He never ate,
Strong as iron,
Fast as wind.

But what really makes him a vampire,
Was that he ate my heart.

Ate it with no thought to me,
Ripping it out of my chest,
Ignore all the agonizing pain it caused me ,
To benefit himself.

The snake can still seduce me,
Gaining my love and my trust every time,
And without a second thought,
Ripping open my chest to retrieve and consuming,
what he left before.

Through every tear that rushes down my face,
He still doesn't care.
