Betrayal

Your eyes burned bright, as my life drained out
a deathly smile gleamed on your perfect lips.
I hate myself as I fell for, each last one of your tricks.
Now I bleed out in the middle of the street,
the night owl as my only witness.
I was a fool to let you in, 'cause you exploited my every weakness.
The truth becomes clearer even as my vision blurs,
and i see a dark figure- a silhouette that Satan himself fears,
The patron of wrath, the angel of death.

A siren blares somewhere far away
I hear your footsteps fade away.
I know that now my end is near,
But as my last thought tears,
Just one question stays in my mind
"Was I wrong to trust you? Or were you wrong to betray?"
