Let's Shine Bright

Candles are burning and shadows are bowing
Kneeling before thee, she feel like royalty
Dress made out of rags and a crown made from paper bag
It's hard to tell the lies behind her deep sea eyes

Didn't you listen to the stories she told
Shhhh... Just listen , can't you hear
It's because she cries out her silent tears
But she keeps her head up high and still dreams for a better life
It's like wanting to climb 400 stairs
Just to see the moon one more time

Just like star waiting to shine on that lake at night
Remember the night's still light
Just look at that star shine bright
Look what she draws on her wrists
Art shouldn't be like this
She locks away her pain so deep
And keeps around her neck the key
