Remembrance
I think about you;
I remember the smell of Strawberries;
On your neck.
Your smile is like the sun;
Your laugh is like sandpaper on glass;
So smooth yet still rough.
We can sit and talk;
For hours upon hours;
But it always has to end.
I don't understand why;
I doubt I ever will know;
Why we cannot be.
But hopes are for the hopeful;
And I I'm not a dreamer;
Therefore I mustn't try to dream.
So ash to ashes, dust to dust;
Let my tomb stone alone to rust;
Although I have one single request;
Remember me.
For all I am;
All I was;
No matter how worthless that could be.
But do not let;
The broken legacy Ieft;
Become a forgotten memory.
I remember the smell of Strawberries;
On your neck.
Your smile is like the sun;
Your laugh is like sandpaper on glass;
So smooth yet still rough.
We can sit and talk;
For hours upon hours;
But it always has to end.
I don't understand why;
I doubt I ever will know;
Why we cannot be.
But hopes are for the hopeful;
And I I'm not a dreamer;
Therefore I mustn't try to dream.
So ash to ashes, dust to dust;
Let my tomb stone alone to rust;
Although I have one single request;
Remember me.
For all I am;
All I was;
No matter how worthless that could be.
But do not let;
The broken legacy Ieft;
Become a forgotten memory.
