Wristwatch Shop (A Magic Market Without Malarky)

Time, time again

(Oh it's funny
Maybe punny
To end up talking about time
For this is a wristwatch store, what is it for?)

There are needs for the soul
For the soul of the people

(In a place full of magic
Ticking, tocking, clicking, and clocking
Full of silver and gold
And shined birds of mocking

Each gear is a sight when holed and propped
As it turns with mechanical ease and tension
It is here where the time needs of the time needy have shopped)

And I work to satisfy the soul with ticks of beauteous gold

(At the end of the day, long after shop closes up
I'm still flirting with the bits and pieces, yupp
Then when I lock
Oh that gorgeous sounding lock!
The store stays still for the night
And I go home, suddenly working to strip off the oily syrup
That gathers all over me from dawn to the lit up night,
I smile over a good day's work)

To give them a piece of an epic universal peace
Of what we call time

I give them clocks to turn
Pocket watches to be on time to learn
A wall clock to hang over a large fern

(The many places where a time keeper can be kept
Are in the imagination of the mind's net
And not all have been listed yet)

For every soul needs what the body has:
A tick, click
Tick, tick
Click
–But a beat to see
And to see the face of a tocking time keeper can surely be
A wondrous sight indeed

(And I make tickers and ringers, and tockers and ones with bird singers
To behold the inside.
Which is the most beautiful part of all
When the golden gears swing and stop
When the intricates all tick together it just makes my heart hop!)

And here in this filthy city
Time needs are everywhere
For even though some say time is filthy too,
That it speeds and slows and stops life short,
When there is a melodious beat of a timer
Next to those few
Not a single person can say
That time isn't a purity, dirtier than the air we share today

And I make clocks in this wristwatch store
For every now and then
Time and time again
A person comes in
Ringing the bells of the door–
The opening to my store

And his or her soul is here to search
For a proper time keeper–
Quite the loveliest things of all
And I stop my current work with a clicking swish
And I grant each wish
♠ ♠ ♠
I was just searching random things, and then I did "malarkey" and thought of previous words that I searched, "wristwatch" and "market", and then for some reason, inspiration hit me in the brain. Then my gut.

Enjoy!
(Sorry it's long!)
