i never complained cried or questioned

when you left for days on end

but then you left me abandoned

with no way to comprehend

i hated the way you treated me

lied but loved me so

i hated the way you cared for me

my lustful wrathful foe

and then you came back and i had you again

but this time was different it led to your end

you came inside expecting my warmth and glow

but when you arrived you got instead my loving wrathful woe

i’d had it at last with your abuse and your lies

falling upon my soul-less eyes

i ended it asking that you depart

as i tried to mend my now-broken heart
