Skeleton Flowers

warm breeze
and teacups in the sand
i’ll wear the sundress
and draw daisies on my hand
you’ll sit
and count my freckle-stars
kiss my eyelashes
and say how deep in love you are
sunshine
echoes off your skin and mine
dance along cold shores
bury ourselves in the sands of time
you’ll wait
for my eyes to open
and daydream with me
until we’re blue as the ocean
and i’ll cry when it’s all over
i’ll cry ’cause you never knew
the deeper part of my ocean eyes
the part of me that really loved you
i’ll cry when the ground shall take you
i’ll leave blood roses at your feet
and i’ll pretend i never had a clue
as to how much you really loved me
cold breeze
broken porcelain on the shore
i don’t know you anymore
i don’t know you anymore

This poem was actually not written by me. It's the poem that actually inspired me to keep living, the only poem that has ever caught my eye so much. I found it in sixth grade and I've always had a place for it in my heart. I just wanted to share it with you because of how much it means to me.
