Confessions

Ask me how I am,
I’ll say I’m just fine,
but really you’re all that’s been on my mind.

An unrequited love.
A desperate need for sanity,
for safety and understanding.

No tricks, no questions or secrets.
Lay it all on the line,
toss the dice and make a bet,
hope for the best.

Lets spin the roulette wheel and see where the ball lands.
Spin the bottle and secretly pray it lands on each other.

Confess the secret, give in to the forbidden,
give up on our manners and morals.
Loose our values, yet keep it to ourselves.

Get down on your knees and bow your head
because you know it never ends.
The racing heart, the smile that can’t be fought.
The joy you feel inside that you know isn’t the same as everyone else.

Stop denying what it is and let loose in your heart,
but listen to your mind
because you know what it could start.
