Extreme Bikers ride down the side of Mount Fuji
No-Fear kids jump Subway and Elevator cars
Poets sit alone and dare to rip out their Soul
Hanging it on rooftop clothes lines
For the whole world to see
As sensors of emotion
And witnesses of life experience
Not afraid of being vulnerable
Having courage to love
Strong enough to walk away
Wanting only to share
So that others may see,
There is nothing fragile in being a poet.
