I Couldn't Take Anymore

I once knew a girl,
Who loved you so much,
Yearned for your kiss,
And longed for your touch.

You were her best friend,
And you didn't know,
You loved her too,
But had to let her go.

Then you met her,
Another girl that you knew,
And your friend's heart,
Split into two.

The next day they found her,
Her lifeless body, white,
And you clutched her hand,
The grip so tight.

You went home that night,
And held it to your wrist,
Then drew that painful picture,
The picture with a twist.

That's how they found you,
On the bedroom floor,
Engraved in your arm,
"I couldn't take anymore"
